Give your MB a couple weeks at it, OP. By the middle of next month she will be asking you to give baths during the day again. PS I dont take my charges out dirty - ever. Especially with dirty hair. I have taken a bath every single day of my life since birth and my skin is lovely.
Here's one more thought to share with MB.... Because people phone video, youtube upload and report things based on what they see, someone may report the child as being abused based on his unclean appearance. This could potentially become an unpleasant experience for MB/nanny if approached by CPS. Sometimes that service dysfunctions, and children get wrongfully removed from their loving homes the facts are misunderstood. Then see what your MB wants to do. The PP suggestion of asking her if you can start nighttime bath and she finished up sounds good. Both needs get met..MBs desire to mommy more & baby gets daily bath. Hopefully it can be worked out.
If you think DCFS is going to intervene because a kid looks a little dirty you are living in a fantasy world. They are too busy taking care of children living with REAL problems like hunger and abuse, not greasy hair. Christ, the first world privilege here would be disgusting if it weren't so comical.
+1, not to mention the fact that no matter how you phrase it, suggesting to a mother that the way she raises her child is likely to get CPS called in on her is a good way to get fired. Hey - do you prior two posters want to meet for coffee? I think we'd get along! :-)
