I had a nanny who co-slept on the couch with my 10 week old strapped in a baby bjorn for 3 hours! I found out about it only because my mother happened to be visiting and witnessed it.  Foolishly I had a talk with the nanny rather than fire her on the spot.  But her lack of good judgement regarding safety led to other unprofessional and risky acts such as....swaddling our then 11 week old and and somehow strapping her to a stroller made for a toddler!  Why? because the nanny really felt like going on a walk in our hilly neighborhood and could not remember how to attach the car seat to the stroller.  We had another talk with her.
