For those of you who think I'm being selfish I kind of just chuckle at that.  Usually I am capable of finding a way to feel guilty about most things but I think that the things we are doing to support our nanny at the moment are anything but selfish.   The considerations we're extending go WAAAY beyond anything most people would receive in the workplace.   So feel free to carry on w/ your criticism but it doesn't have any impact.
