Nanny slapped my child.. I know because my daughter told me all the details. When confronted, nanny denied. She said that my daughter made it up. I believe my daughter as she NEVER makes up things. What would you do ?
Bottom line: She believes her child. Then why is she still paying the woman?? Very confusing.
I work full time and finding a new nanny takes time. This is the only reason.
Are you a single parent?
No, I'm not. We both work full time.
I honestly don't really understand this train of thought. I'm not trying to be rude or difficult I'm just honestly trying to understand. I totally get how hard it is to find a new nanny but if you are 100% certain this actually happened then you suck it up and find a new nanny. If the point of your original post was whether or not to believe your DD that's a different story but since you are so certain your DD is telling the truth then I don't understand why you would continue to let the nanny take care of your child. It is NEVER ok for her to hit your child. If it was me the nanny would already be gone.
The answer is very easy. We've had terrible experience with previous nannies. We are afraid the next one can be even worse.... But you're absolutely right. We will let her go.
Then I think you need to ask yourself why you have had such terrible experiences with previous nannies. I'm not blaming you but you need to look carefully at your offer, yourselves, how you are finding the nanny etc. I'm not sure where you live but we have not had any difficulty finding a wonderful nanny here in DC. We have also lived in several other places in the country and have also always had excellent nannies.
