I'm a parent who posted on that thread and I absolutely said that I enjoyed playing.  And that when I'm doing the household crap I wish I could be playing and feel guilty.  I love the pretend play that apparently isn't popular with other parents.  I'm more guilty of being totally in awe of my kids (and their friends) as i love seeing how they think, how they interact with their world, and how their minds grow and change.  Pretty sure my post is on the first page, too, so your reading is a little off.

I am a SAHM and do not have a nanny.  I do think it's ridiculous to be a parent and to not want to play with your own kids, but I also think it's ridiculous that you are using that thread to bitch about how horrible parents are.   Especially the parents that pay you.  I am glad that I enjoy playing--think my day would be pretty awful if I didn't -- and I'm also glad that I don't have a nanny.  I'd be worried after reading this forum.  [/quote]

Seeing as you are neither a nanny nor an MB, your opinion is completely irrelevant. Bad nannies are bitched abou/called out all of the time. Bad parents deserve the same, that's  what this thread is doing. [/quote]

I'm an MB and while I do think many of the posters on that original thread are horrible parents there were also quite a few that posted that they DO enjoy playing with their children and mentioned specific things they like to do with them. I agree there are a lot of threads complaining about nannies and trying to make them look bad but your comment that "not one parent" in the thread liked to play with their children for more than 10 minutes, is not only false it's offensive to the good parents who said the opposite. I totally understand enjoying a thread about bad parents given the ridiculous bad nanny threads on here but if you aren't being honest you aren't any better than the bad MBs who post bad things about their good nannies.
