I'm an MB who thought this forum would be a great source of information and advice.  And, on occasion, it has been.  But equally as often it's been alarming and disturbing.  If I hadn't been a year into our relationship with our nanny I think the tone here would have really scared me and potentially significantly influenced my childcare decisions.

I try to be helpful and useful on the forum in my postings, but these days I don't know when/if I'm wasting my time if I take some sad story seriously and put effort into responding.

It doesn't have to be anonymous. There is an option to create a username and login, thus identifying all your posts as belonging to the same person, at least. But people seem to prefer to stay anonymous, even as they complain about the anonymous nature of this forum.  :?[/quote]
