I have to agree. I also, as a young child, had horrible experiences with a babysitter. I told my sister (3 yrs older) who told me I was lying and to not tell my parents. I don't know if she had similar experiences (after I was asleep) or she just didn't believe me. I always got very upset when I heard my parents were going to be using that sitter, never any others, but they never asked why (and I was too scared to tell them about it myself without being asked). I eventually blocked it out of my memory until I was around 15 yrs old. I have never had a good relationship with my parents or my sister since I started to remember what had happened.

While there are some nannies/sitters that are BAD people, I think in this case it was most likely the child misconstruing the situation(s) with the nanny if not outright lying.[/quote]
