On the contrary, I believe it is because most poorer Americans are happier living off welfare and sitting on the corner, drinking and ignoring their own kids. The immigrants on the other hand, are happy for an honest day's work regardless of how tiring, unglamorous or dirty the work is.  When people complain that immigrants take jobs from Americans I know it is total BS because white, black, asian or hispanic, once you're a second generation american or later, even though all you have is a high school education, you're too entitled to do anything if it isn't paying a huge amount and allows you to sit on your ass while making said money.  Look at construction, landscaping, housekeeping, back of the house restaurant, ALL hardworking immigrants.[/quote]
