These risks are still present with managed diabetes. The problems are an acute reaction to mismatching the meal timing, insulin, and carbs you are eating. Your recent level of activity and exertion can also affect this. If nanny B is hundreds of lbs overweight it can make it more difficult to not be off but its still a risk at lower weights. If she is in the process of losing weight its even harder as that variable is changing. Mismanaged diabetes brings out issues of chromic vision problems, loss of mobility, and a host of other issues but its the acute reaction to BS levels that make this dangerous. [/quote]
