For those of you who say she should've stepped up right away and said something to the woman, I'm curious as to what, exactly, you think it will accomplish? 2 minutes of the nanny/mom pretending to be nicer to the little girl until they leave? Wow, that is sooo much better than what OP did, right? Psh. I hate when people "do the right thing" because it makes THEM feel superior and good, but don't actually stop to think about the situation itself. I am honestly asking you what else you think could be accomplished by "speaking up"? Because my opinion is that the OP did the "right thing" by surreptitiously taking pics/videos and noting what the woman/kids look like so she can hopefully alert the parents and ultimately, get the horrible nanny fired. If she jumped up and said, "hey! Stop doing that!" what would the nanny do (assuming it's a nanny here)? Most likely ignore her, respond with a short 'ok', or get annoyed and angry, and tell her off. Then they walk away, and you are back to square one, with no "evidence" or memory of the nanny/kids. Now, if it is for sure a mom we are talking about, i might feel differently. That would be a situation where I might think saying something is the best course of action, since your other options are limited.
