Okay, I've said it before and I'll say it again. The dog in question doesn't like to go outside. Being small, it's convenient for her to do her business on the appropriately located wee wee pad. Needless to say, the parents treat their dogs as if they were their own children. Fair enough to some degree. However, they continually choose to disregard this dog's behavior. They know she occasionally poops and pees in the kitchen, and they figure "Well, that's just alright." Believe me, these parents don't see it as an issue. After all, their dogs were their before their baby, so I'm convinced discussing this won't help at all. Also, they have a shock mat to prevent them from going in the back area where the bedrooms are located, and the dogs have been shocked by it on several occasions. Unfortunately, I can't place it in front of the kitchen because that's where their water bowl is. Also, since they live in an apartment, there's absolutely no place where I can put the dog... aside from locking her in the coat closet... which I'd prefer not to do because, you know, then she'd just shit and piss in there too. At any rate, a splash of 2 ounces of water after her unacceptable behavior certainly isn't going to kill or scar the dog. It's just my way of attempting to discourage her behavior. Certainly you people don't expect me to actually research other methods by which I can "fix" this problem, right? I don't intend to spend my downtime, off-time, or weekends scouring the internet to figure out how to train the dog... and then actually doing it. Nope, that's not my job. My job is to look after, care for, entertain, and educate my awesome little charge (a.k.a. my little munchkin/pumpkin). :) Like I said, I don't hate dogs, and I don't hate the dog in question. She still hangs around me, I still pet her, and I still let her lick my hand, despite her horrid breath. I just hate and am frustrated by that particular behavior of hers. Nothing more.
