Now I do agree, as one PP pointed out, that if a nanny gives a lot of notice and the MB finds a replacement who needs to start immediately or will take another offer, that nannies will be asked to leave early. It's not nice but I believe it happens. Then again, it happens in reverse when the family gives notice as well but the nanny finds a new job that starts before the specified end date. As much as it sucks, it would be unreasonable in both instances to ask the noticee to do otherwise.[/quote]

It happens quite often. And you guys don't want to believe it just like you don't want to believe any nanny can make $20+/hour, or that there are plenty of educated nannies who work as nannies because its what they love to do, or whatever other spoiled elitist ideals that are touted on here constantly that go against reality. You guys think you're so above us intellectually and otherwise that you can't wrap your minds around the fact that some of you are shitty people and your actions may not make sense and that a nanny or two or hundreds may have deserved better.
