OP it sounds like you are more annoyed that YOU don't get the down time of the kids watching TV. Your concern has nothing to do with the kids just yourself. It has nothing to do with hypocrisy at all. Its telling that you didn't post "it got a little warmer today and we all went out to X,Y Z or played outside today". You posted how you were able to get the older child out to a playmate while the younger one napped so you could catch some downtime. OP you have a job which is to engage the children so do it.
