Some of you are petty and ridiculous. My AP is off between 9:30-2:30 every day. If she wants to pick up a few extra dollars on the side I do not mind as long as it does not conflict with her duties. If we need to alter the schedule during the day for whatever reason, then our family takes priority re her schedule. She absolutely is not allowed to have other kids in my car (for liability reasons). ALL of your AP’s are doing some kind of side hustle while they are here. $200+ (for the families like us who pay a bit more re: stipend) does not go “far enough” when you take in to account inflation, the increase in travel costs, etc. As someone said above, let them be.
I give extra here and there and give travel bonus to help but I do not allow side jobs. I sacrifice my privacy living with someone for a reason. She needs to exclusively work for me for my convenience. Don't need potential dramas on the side.
Absolutely this. Kid sick and needs to be picked up at 12pm? AP says can't do it because she's at her other gig. It's your wedding anniversary and you want a Saturday date night? AP says no because that's when she picks up shifts for extra money for another family. This isn't even mean. It's WITHIN the program rules for AP not to work for anyone else.
