[quote=Anonymous]OP, don't force her to have her time off outside for lunch if she doesn't want to. Just ask her if one of those days she would like to eat outside she can do it and you will give her 1 hour for lunch break. So she won't be worry and to come back just after 1 hours and it will give her time to have something outside in peace and no rush. So you are being responsible to.care for the baby in that hour. It wouldn't be nice if she has not finish lunch if you call her to come back. Also state clear that she is free to bring her own lunch to your home and she is free to eat it anytime she is hungry, if doesn't matter if babynis napping or awake. Everyone feels hungry different times. And tell her she is free to eat it in any part of the house. Dinning table, kitchen or in the table in front porch if you have one. I don't see the need to be thinking how long it would be ok to give her for lunch if you want her to leave. All nannies are the right to bring her lunch if family don't offer them anything and all of them have to have the freedom to just relax and eat her lunch Inside the house, no matter if you and your husband are there. If some time you and your husband feel like want to have your lunch without her and desire your own privacy; you both feel free to eat your lunch outside and have that fresh air that you are offering to the nanny too.
