She is staying overnight for their convenience and you pay me for that and driving you to airport.  I do not work for free any more than you work for free.  It is also a major inconvenience for me to stay at her house.  OP, tell her that you will be paid your normal hourly wage or she can take a cab.[/quote]

I agree. Staying overnight is FOR THEIR convenience! Only stingy families would drop that famous line "you are not working during that time" forgetting that it is always an inconvenience  to the nanny to be sleeping in a bed that isn't hers. They easily forget that we have a life too. To disturb our life to make theirs confortable as a cost too![/quote]
