If a HF is with APIA and in rematch, they aren't switching agencies. You lose money that way. If you are in the beginning of a new cycle and don't like your rep, I guess it doesn't matter. You lose your repeat discount.

I think this rematch/NIE is overblown. I have only heard of a few cases of NIE aupairs coming and rematching immediately. That has always happened. I'm sure it stings more now since its hard to have one arrive. The visas and travel are much easier now and you don't need an NIE from a few countries.

Talk to NIE families.  It is not overblown.  Seems to happen most with Brazilian Au pairs.  And I’m Brazilian![/quote]

Brazilian aupairs seem to be having the most difficult time matching right now and can't travel. I'm not sure where aupairs are still arriving from but it's definitely not Brazil.

I find it surprising that anyone would want to come here right now. Other than lack of employment in their home country, what would motivate someone to come here?  I wouldn't think it's to attend fabulous virtual english courses from the local community college.

NIE rematches are definitely happening!!!!  The companies don't care. It's a way to get visas right now. The entire process is broken and unethical. [/quote]
