I could not agree more.

I would fire my nanny on the spot if she didn’t come into work over a stupid cat.
She needs to put on her big girl panties and grow up!
Even when my mom’s loved poodle was hit by a neighbor’s car, she still got up everyday to go to work!
If anyone needs to call in work to grieve a deceased pet then they need to get professional help.
Animals are not in the same league as people.

While the substance of your post has merit, the verbiage is insulting and immature.

But a service dog and a pet cat are different.

A pet cat is just that > a pet.
And since many cats are annoying in general (true fact!), the fact that anyone would willingly have one as a pet boggles the mind.

Why would anyone skip a workday or two because their cat died??
People lose their pets all the time and do fine the next day.
Most of them can even shower and go to work immediately.
