Well, our safety comes first and we are also trying to help her have a vacation.  We are in a pandemic.  This is how we are able to support her and ensure safety for everyone. [/quote]

We have given her a lot of weeks off throughout the pandemic (paid).  we are paying the full costs of her education.  We asked her to take her vacation at the end of her year and she insisted that it has to be now.  [/quote]

I mean, it's nice you gave her weeks off and it's nice that you accommodated her vacation. It is *still* illegal not to pay her. It frankly sounds like you didn't need as much childcare during the pandemic and so gave her the time off; again, nice, but insufficient to justify not paying her.[/quote]
