Cultural Care sent out an email essentially saying this didn’t apply to anyone other than those involved in lawsuit. What am I missing? We decided to wait it out for our previously matched au pair until the ban (hopefully) lifts.
Cultural Care is wrong. Tell them to reach out to the folks handling this. Or talk to AuPairCare or EurAupair. Those program sponsors are on top of it.
It only applies to those who are plaintiffs in the lawsuit, but AupairCare, APIA and EurAupair are plaintiffs. We are having our aupair apply using the NIE so she can get a date before January, but only because I am concerned the backlog of visa appointments will make things difficult otherwise.
Mexico has appointments at the embassy starting in late October for those with an NIE or with APIA. I would try now with an aupair who can travel here with a valid J-1 visa - if they get approved.
