This is why I am hesistant to bring our aupair over still even though we qualify for an exemption. Absolutely nothing stopping her from rematching once she is here. I am not prepared to keep bringing aupairs over from out of country. [b]The reality is that this year will mean a lot less travel and a lot more drama trying to share a home with someone who may not be excited about being in the house fulltime again this winter.[/b] If we didn't have our aupair until January, I'm not sure I would be trying to host again right now.

This! Our AP got her visa before the visa ban and we told her not to come. I cannot handle another moody and unhappy person in my household. DH and I are enough.[/quote]

Same same same. I’ll take a new au pair as soon as I am comfortable with her traveling as much as she wants. I feel like taking an au pair right now given my own personal comfort level with Covid exposure is just cruel to the au pair and not consistent with the spirit of the program. [/quote]
