No.  Nannies work for money not "atta girls"!  If they have gone above and beyond their contracted cities, they should be paid as well as being thanked.[/quote]

I’m a nanny and I disagree.  My job got harder but not different (like a lot of jobs).  I can’t depend on playgrounds or playgroups, library story times or music classes, so I’ve had to create those benefits for my charge with just us.  My employers being home hasn’t been an issue in the slightest as we’re all adults with jobs to do.

I appreciate the words and gestures of acknowledgement and appreciation and absolutely don’t expect one penny more because circumstances beyond my employers control made my job harder.  [/quote]
