[/quote] If you are getting paid then the idea is you would either pay your nanny (even if she isn’t coming in bc well, we are in a pandemic and you decided to release her) or lay her off so she can get unemployment. However, unemployment will more than likely not be the same amount the nanny is bringing in currently. I make more than $850 a week after taxes, so unemployment wouldn’t be ideal. The difference between being a great employer and a basic employer is treating your employer like you would want to be treated. It’s also valuing your employee and not taking them for granted.
