Couch in the living room is unacceptable.  As long as the toy room has a door that closes, the futon can be made up like a real bed and nephew would have to stay out of the playroom except during AP’s work hours, that’s reasonable.[/quote]

Do you guys realize this is an emergency situation?? What if it was on a weekend and AP wasn't working? I guess the nephew could wake up AP out of the room at 6 am to start playing? My point is: in case of emergency situation everyone has to have REASONABLE Expectation. It is not like the family is on a vacation or something, they are also figuring it out. I would totally rematch with an au pair who shows me their princess side in the type of circumstances.[/quote]

Right, and I love how everyone assumes that the relative has tons of space to accommodate all kinds of people.  My sister lives in a 2 bedroom condo. [/quote]
