OP Here - There have actually been a few occasions before he started working from home where he would be in the house in the morning & I had no idea until I saw him walk out the door for a lunch meeting!! I was stunned + felt disrespected. Since I thought I was alone and the child was so little, I had been using the bathroom w/the door open! Imagine if.......!! The guy just gives me the overall creeps. There is just something shady about the cameras, him in the home all day, etc. that doesn’t feel right. He seems like the type of dude who would show my tape to other guys & talk. But my employers both claim the cameras do not record. That they are like a baby monitor in that way.... You can only see the footage in real time. But I am under the impression that ALL cameras RECORD. Period.
Its not shady for him to be in HIS home. They should tell you. There is nothing shady about having cameras. Most homes have camera's now for safety and to monitor what's going on. We have cameras. Ours only record at certain times or go on/off with a motion sensor. Not all record all the time, it is how they are set. If they don't pay for extra storage, then it is only real time. You have to pay extra to store the video and often its only stored for a few days or a week. You need to learn more about cameras and technology. You are going to have a tuff time finding a family who is never home/no cameras as more homes have cameras as do most work places and many companies are allowing flexibility including working at home.
Agree that it’s his home so not shady. However, completely disagree about the cameras. Neurotic and controlling ppl tend to have cameras. I’ve interviewed with plenty of families who didn’t have cameras and only a few that have. I also will not work for a family if a parent works from home regularly. Ppl tend to think that bc they have cameras that means everyone else does and that everyone works from home. There are plenty of families with no cameras and don’t work at home. So no, that poster will not have a hard time finding a family.
