I see my grandson’s lovely nanny once a week. She picks him up from school the other four days with my six month old grandchild. Would it be inappropriate for me to give her a small gift of appreciation?
STOP. Give us a RAISE or a BONUS. We don't need small gifts, its actually a bit insulting, considering how much we have to put up with.
You are nasty ! While I agree that raises or bonuses are appreciated, it doesn't mean small gifts or cards aren't. It's called having a heart ! And OP has one. It's VERY nice from her to offer to get something for her grandson's nanny. OP, do what you can afford, a lovely card and maybe a small giftcard to starbucks or any other coffee place she might like will be appreciated I'm sure. You can still ask your daughter or son what they feel would be appreciated as well. A nanny :)
