I think you are smart, OP.  Take the job as a whole and judge after a few months.  Whatever her reasons (and I suspect her worrying about her husband’s wandering eye) just accept them and move forward.  Be open to both loving this job as well as maybe needing to quit in a few weeks.  Take the whole position into consideration not just this weird incident. [/quote]
