I kind of think it might be the latter: 
A)  MB doesn’t allow nanny to drive kids (why? is there no reliable car available? Did MB never check nanny’s driving ability? Presumably, the nanny drove every single day to MBs house for the last five years); 
B) MB still insist that the nanny goes out every day. I like when kids are out of the house! But not in 100+ heat with the heat advisory! And if still out, then MB needs to have a discussion prior to “where would the nanny take the kids”. That just really doesn’t make any sense.
C) The guns and sex offender reasons are totally lame. The house that they went to had to be with walking distance and  presumably MB who cares so much about safety screened all sex offender locations within walking distance, and instructed the nanny to avoid certain areas. Re Guns: the 2.5 and 5 yo will only play with what they see in plain sight. They are not going to run into closets in the unknown house. So the nanny will see those hypothetical dangers too and presumably handle that.  The only question here is if the two nannies can be trusted to watch the kids instead of just socializing?

OP, you might want to seriously think if your MB really trusts you, and whether the trust is important for your continued job satisfaction.[/quote]

Excellent points brought up here.

My Nanny Family does not like anyone other than family members drive their children around.
Even though I have a perfect driving record (no infractions/points, etc.), a current, valid DL + my car is fully insured, registered & I have records that I keep up the maintenance on time.[/quote]
