Is DB aware of this issue? She clearly has mental health issues. Just keeping being a good nanny, if it really bothers you I suggest looking for a new job.
Yes, DB know and walks on egg shells around her and does whatever she says. Her parents are aware of it and have talked to me about it several times. I feel so sorry for her kids to have to grow up like this. I love my charge but every time she gets like this I do want to find another job.
Have you talked to DB and her parents about her getting help? It might not be your place to say anything, but she probably needs a lot of help. Is she ok meds or ever been in meds?
OP here. She sees a psychiatrist occasionally (her parents told me). And her parents have told me that they know how difficult she can be. I really don't feel comfortable asking more probing questions about possible medication or therapies nor do I know if she is or as have been on medication. I just hate it when she is like this. So rude and mean.
Its not rude and mean. Its called mental health illness. She can't help it ... just like a diabetic can't help feeling dizzy if their blood sugar is off. Its not anything personal against you. So probably best not to judge her but just be there for her kids when she is in these phases.
