I also think it is normal for your Nanny to desire down time.
No one wants to be constantly on for 8+ HRs/day.
I mean other jobs provide lunch & 15min. breaks because the law recognizes that to do their optimal best, each and every worker needs to take a break, more if working full-time.

I advise you to cut your Nanny a little slack & realize she is doing her personal best.
Some days the child may not be bathed at a certain time.
Even parents have this happen.

Since she is also a student, she likely utilizes her free time studying or typing papers.
Allow her to.
I would want to assist my Nanny in being the best she can possibly be if I really thought she took very good care of my child.

Okay, but if you use naptime to study and you never stay late,  then either you are ignoring the kid to do housework or you are not doing any housework at all.  I think most parent would prefer a nanny who often leaves a few minutes late over one who is neglectful at worst or unhelpful at best.[/quote]
