Smart. [/quote] $400/day is far too much and perhaps this is too much of a sacrifice for the nanny if it requires that much compensation. Not all parents are trying to get away from their kids on vacation, especially if they only hired a nanny because they are normally at work during the day. The smart thing to do would be to have planned this as one of the nanny's paid vacation weeks that you chose. Sometimes nanny and NF are happier having a break from each other. $2800 plus expenses for a week is ridiculous unless you really want the nanny to deal with the kids 100% of the time. In that case, leaving them home with her might be better. [/quote]
