Yes, one of my concerns was how it would stack up against our annual raise - obviously it's lower. I don't know whether or not annual raises are the norm. I know friends who only give raises for more kids, not otherwise regularly. In hindsight, had I known we were going to have a third, I might have waited to avoid having to "beat it" for the new baby.
