I agree with this.  Especially with one child who is an infant, you can absolutely find a good nanny at this pay level.  It may take longer and more interviewing, but I have hired legal nannies twice (two different children, spaced far apart) for this salary.  They were both very good.  I will also say that paying more does not always get you the best nanny.[/quote]

MB here and I pay $27 an hour for one child.  I didn't want anyone undocumented or without experience and an education however.  I got the "gold standard" for nannies - - former preschool teacher.

Fine if that is what you wanted to pay, but know that you can get someone legal/experienced/educated for much less than that.
