Do you live in a place with lots of walkable parks? When we did, my nanny did this all the time. They'd meet at the park, and then start setting up times to meet at each other's NF houses.

Different poster. My nanny has done this, but I'd never *require* her to do it. Like, it's her fault if she doesn't find your kid friends? Even though you can't find your kid friends? That's weird.[/quote]

I agree w/this completely.
It is kind of odd to expect your Nanny or even require her to meet other people in the area,
create friendships, then actually ask strangers if they would be willing & able to coordinate a future
play date w/her.

This is a weird job requirement.

No it isn't. Not in communities with lots of parks where people meet naturally, and where there are lots of nannies and similar-aged children. However, you need to pick a nanny who likes to be social in the first place.[/quote]
