I really can't believe this thread. What is so hard about feeding the younger child their lunch at 11:45-12:15, then calming time or a story and nap by 12:30? That way you could get them up at 2:30 to head to pickup. Or just do lunch at 11:30 and nap can be 12:15-2:15 so they youngest can get a small snack and wake up and be ready to go by 2:30? I would suggest not planning on leaving at 2:35 but earlier just in case as to not push it with time.
The big deal is this nanny likes her schedule as is, and doesn't want to change it. Most of us prefer the late afternoon nap, because then quitting time is not too far off when baby wakes up. With the new schedule, she has a much longer afternoon with both kids. This is a nanny problem.
Maybe that is what you prefer. As I keep busy during my shifts, and I frequently work until after 7, it doesn't matter to me when the nap is. It does matter to my charges, and we use their preferred schedule whenever possible.
People are so snarky and nasty here for no reason, always blaming the nannies when we think more or the best interest and routine for them than their damn parents do. Would you be able to do nap for the little one at 1 after pickup? Or does the oldest have extracurriculars that would disturb this?
