She needs to be ready to start at 8am, if she needs 5 minutes or 30 seconds that is on her, but at 8am she should be ready to assume her duties.[/quote] And do you ensure that your nanny is walking out of your house every day at exactly her contracted end time? I'm 5-10 minutes early each day, with employers who stroll in 5 minutes late, then want to change and talk about the day for another 10 on a daily basis. It irritates the hell out of me, so I understand your sentiment, I just think it needs to go both ways. If you expect a hard start time, make sure the end time is also strictly observed. If you're a parent can't manage to get home in time to release your nanny before you stop paying her, you don't get to bitch about her being 3 minutes late. [/quote]
