No, no, no and no. I say this from an employer's perspective (I'm an employer in a nanny share). This woman needs a constant base pay, the other mom's shouldn't get to "adjust" the amount they pay based on their inconsistent usage. How would you like it if you're employer cut your weekly pay by the same percentage, regardless of the number of hours you showed up to work?

A good analogy is daycare. You are paying to reserve the nanny's time, like you pay at daycare to reserve your child's crib/spot. You pay the same rate whether baby attends or not.

I know child care is expensive, but man, it sounds like your nanny is being exploited. Was it the nanny's idea to add the 3rd child?

I don't think adding the third child is the bad part of this deal, but you really need to rethink cutting the amount you and the other family pay. And I think it's really unfair to allow the other parents to cut her weekly take home based on their schedules. If she's available for X hours a week, that's what you pay her for, whether you use them or not. That's how it works.
