Happens all the time if you're that good. I know someone in a different field who has dozens of business cards from people who have offered her a job. She's a whiz at what she does, and of course smart people notice.

That's not how it works, silly. You're both hanging out at the park or library having nice conversations about the children, and then it comes up. Or anyone can give you their card and ask you to contact them if you know someone who is available. They're of course hoping *you* will be available in a month or so.[/quote]
