I thought you couldn't, no matter what.[/quote] Op here. I don't know where you heard that, but it is possible. Not anyone can get one though. You need have documentation for proof of why you need a new SS ( identity theft, domestic violence, etc.). It's a long process and not easy to do. Thankfully I have the help of my lawyer. Most people just get Life Lock, but when you have an immediate family member using your SS, you have to change it. [/quote]
