I don't know you but if I had to guess, I would think that for a family with school-age kids, help with housekeeping is much more important than a few hours of childcare. At this point most of your workload comes from running a clean and well-stocked house plus ferrying kids to activities. I think that for 50K, you can get a very competent housekeeper who can drive kids around. You will come home to a clean house with a cooked dinner, and the degree of your stress relief would be amazing. You can figure something out for vacations and sick days - school breaks are pretty predictable so you can plan ahead, and kids will stop getting sick so often. [/quote]
