Honestly, your theory doesn't even make sense. The vast majority of DC folks who can afford to hire date night-type babysitters on a regular basis obviously realize that their babysitter earns far less money than them and likely lives in a "sketchier" neighborhood because of it. I don't know any nanny/babysitters who can afford to live out in NW or Capitol Hill; I assume my nanny/babysitters probably live in the MD suburbs or across the river. DH and I can barely afford where we live and we're a 2 income professional couple who live in a recently gentrified section of the Hill.

Even if you have somehow been employed by the 2 families in DC who assumed babysitters lived in Georgetown, it is INCONCEIVABLE that you have been "blacklisted" in the area over this. Like, I'm really curious to see if there's a single poster who thinks that could have happened.[/quote]
