I wouldn't have believed this either had this been two years ago. I wouldn't ever think that a family would feed a 6 month old tacos. Then I worked for a family who fed their babies everything they ate. A 6 month old eating sausage, peppers and onions. Spicy food. A whole mess of things that would mess with Any adults stomach! Then they wondered why their kid was having blowouts multiple times a day. Gee- I wonder why? It's truly amazing to me how things that seem like common sense to most are NOT common sense to others. OP I don't think you're a troll. I've been there as far as the feeding goes.
This is called Baby Led Weaning. It's a pretty common practice and when done properly it is safe for babies. Our pediatrician signed off on it and thought it was wonderful that our DC ate everything - and still does (also I am Indian so, yes, DC was eating Indian food quite early on). You have to watch for reactions and too much salt and sugar, of course, but there is nothing wrong per se with feeding the baby what you eat.
