Just remember plus taxes - the total is around $3-4k a month for 50 hour a week full time nanny. Shares are around $2k per family at $16-$18 hour.
Why would any qualified nanny accept 16-18 an hour, much less a share (with double the work!)? You obviously have no clue about rates in the Washington area. Most intelligent nannies I know start at $20 for one child, and go up from there. No one here cares how low your standards are. The broken-English workers will accept whatever you give them, as long as it's a job. Congratulations and good luck with your bargain baby sitter.
Nonsense, and trolling on so many levels. For one child in NWDC, $16-18/hr is standard. Shares command more, $18-20/hr, but not because shares are double the work. They aren't. The higher rate reflects the need to accommodate two families. More work, for sure, but not nearly double the work. Very few nannies make over $20/hr for one child in this area. If this were true, the uneducated PP wouldn't need to insult nannies who work for accepted market wages. She's trolling to artificaily raise wages by insulting professional nannies who understand the market and negotiate accordingly. Shame on her.
Your "standard" rate for a professional nanny is based on nothing more than your personal fantasy. We know your type.
