How common is it for the family you work for to give you an early day if they finish early? If your MB/DB have an extra day off do you also get the day off(paid)? If they come home early, and are hanging out at the house do they let you go for the day or make you stay till your end time?
Uncommon. If that ever happens it's DB coming in early to beat traffic due to a late call (5 or 6pm start) or MB coming home early because her flight landed and she usually frantically unpacks, does household mail/bills, etc. Once in awhile in the summer she will get home before 5pm and say Have a good one. They take about 4-6 weeks of vacation a year outside of Xmas time so I don't sweat it not expect to be paid to go home early. During her second kid maternity leave she would get home at the end early and go up stairs to rest or something. And during maternity leave she did whatever and tried to stay out of my way with the toddler. Again, no issues here.
