Um - Noooo...what it means is that nanny family employers are reacting just as the VAST majority of employers of 1 employee would react - that this is not a benefit they can afford to offer. That is why even FMLA only applies to employers of over 50 (FIFTY!) people. Given that the law saying a company has to hold your job only applied for those with 50 (!) employees; how in the world is it hard to understand that an employer of 1 employee, who cannot do her job without that employee, is not willing to offer paid leave?[/quote]

FMLA just means when you come back, your job of the same level is still there. It says nothing about paid leave. For Federal Government employees, they get some weeks of sick leave. THERE IS NO MATERNITY LEAVE PAY.[/quote]
