OP here. Thanks for all the pps with constructive criticism and suggestions. I have decided to suck it up and finish what I've agreed to. To the one pp who felt the need to be negative and say that I am as awful as MB. Why would you say that when you have NO idea what I have put up with? SHE is lucky that I haven't left her with any notice whatsoever! And just so that you understand the level of high maintenance of this lady.... She doesn't work and my charges are TEENAGERS! There is also a housekeeper that comes in everyday! Quite frankly I am not sure how I stayed this long! I don't need/want her references. All I can do is learn from my mistakes: If it feels like you're being taken advantage of, if there are any details of routine, contract, method and procedures that you need to clarify, sit down and talk right away and if it doesn't get better then ultimately that is not the family for you...
It can't be that bad. All jobs will ask you to work and do certain tasks. This is what you signed up for, if you can't handle the job of being a nanny then maybe you should try a different field, no matter how easy nannying seems.
Oh honey, I can handle the job of being a nanny just fine. I have no problem performing my duties. My problem was with the mom who treats me like garbage, like I know nothing and talks to me in a condescending and superior tone every single time. I hope you never have a boss like that but on the other hand it would help you understand that things aren't always black and white as you make it in your head and if you are trying to help people with advice you should keep an open mind and stop passing judgement any opportunity you have.
Bless your heart. I've met so many nannies like you I know exactly what your MB is going through. If your reply to me is any indication of your attitude and tone you take with your boss it's no wonder. You are the type that will take a simple request such as "Please take out the garbage, set it by the curb." and respond "I know. I'll get it but first I'm finishing the dishes!" You don't realize how you come across as extremely rude and annoying and your constant snark makes people treat you differently. It's a self-fulfilling prophecy in the truest sense. Not everyone is out to be rude to you and talk down to you, you just set yourself up for it.
Well, you are entitled to your opinion buy you are absolutely wrong. I am the most proactive and willing to help and solve problems person I know. Truly, not just saying it. Is it so unfathomable to you that my MB acts exactly the way she acts because that is her personality? Somehow you came to conclusions of your own about ME, someone you have no idea about. Bottom line is, I'm just happy I finally decided to leave something that was making me really unhappy. I rather sell coconut water on the beach before I work for someone like my boss again. I have a feeling pp, you might also be one of those people. BLESS YOUR HEART!
No, bless YOUR heart honey! You need it!
Hahah ok then! ?buh-bye Felicia!!
