Many of you are asking about having a walker.. And one even mentioned that it was outdated.. Well, I'm a nanny to this family and I also work for an agency so sometimes I can work with 5 different families with 9-12month olds and the infants who have walkers which obviously it helps build their leg muscles, taking a few steps on their own, while my main family who didn't purchase a walker, this girl will be 1 (oldest of the infants I care for) in one month and she can hardly hold on to things without wobbling. (This is all based on my experience, all kids are clearly different) ALSO, THIS QUESTION WAS NOT FOR MOMS, BUT FOR THE NANNIES. Thanks :-)
Hi! Im a Nanny just want to pass some information about " baby walkers" its bad for for them: it encourage fast movement in their lower legs while minimizing motion in their upper leg and hip. Some of the things that help children develop strong legs and coordination are crawling, scooting and creeping. Here is a web where you can read more about babies walker https://www.healthychildren.org/English/safety-prevention/at-home/Pages/Baby-Walkers-A-Dangerous-Choice.aspx
