I'm the PP who suggested it, and I agree it's weird to suddenly offer a benefit you didn't initially, but I'm trying to offer OP something that respects the nanny's privacy (only info provided to OP would be a summary yes/no on whether nanny qualified for the discount) and in some way is of benefit to the nanny, so that it doesn't just all around suck for her. Maybe she's willing to have this device in her car for a month in exchange for car insurance - heck, I was! I think it's great actually - why shouldn't I let my insurance know what a good driver I am and customize my rate to reflect that? If nanny doesn't find it worthwhile, she can decline and hopefully OP will find some less intrusive way to ease her worries. [/quote]
