Too much paper towels, too many baggies per week, too many wipes per diaper change. Just use the same as you use at your home as if you are buying it. Three paper towels per hand wash is stupid, just use a towel or one. It is difficult to access if a nanny is being wasteful with products and items in the house. Try to be energy efficient and courteous. It's that simple.
You can dry your hands with a single sheet of paper towel? Impressive. And the courtesy has to go both ways. I'm sure all these nannies are professional and have always TRIED to conserve items. It's not rare for much more to be needed. And what then? Should they feel guilty or get in trouble? No. It's ridiculous. Yes they are employees in your house but they are also humans, show a little humility... If the nannies needs a single sheet or so more of paper towels to get the job done then for Christ's sake let it go.
+1 seriously...... It's not enough that we are performing this work for you in the first place, now you would expect us to do it without the supplies that are needed to do it properly? (Enough wipes, paper towels, etc....) have you ever tried to clean a baby's bum without enough wipes? It's not exactly possible. Rude! Common courtesy... Be nice to your nanny or she will leave for another family who lets her use the amount of paper towels she needs to absorb the water from her hands (after I'm assuming trying to get them clean for your baby)! Geez.....
Really the only ones using too many wipes are inexperienced ftm and wasteful nannies. When I was a new mom, I would use 10 wipes for poo change and my mom would use 3 maybe 4 and baby pooped the same.
