I can't tell you if you should stay or not, but if you do decide to leave it would not be fair to take their money. If you quit decline your paycheck and move on, you haven't really done anything to earn that money except show up and cry in the bathroom, you did not give those children what a nanny should.
2015 just started but you will definitely win the dumbest advice/comment of the year. I would love to hear more on why she doesn't deserve to be paid. what if she had worked there for several months and tried everything possible to make it work and she still ended up quitting, would you suggest she pays her employers back? How do you know what the nanny tried or didn't try? Baby sitters who just show up to make sure the children are safe, and watch movies all night still deserve pay so does a nanny that "just showed up". Op I'm not saying you just showed up so please don't take that the wrong way. I would try and talk to the parents one time telling them that the children don't listen to you and need some type of schedule/routine. Give them one week to help establish this. If they refuse right away to work with you or you don't see a any type of change or help from them then I would quit. Like others stated make sure you have the money and the check clears before quitting
